Our Senior Pastor
Sereta Collington is an inspiring author, pastor, and teacher who is passionate about helping others deepen their faith through the transformative power of writing and Scripture. As the Pastor of Mount Zion AME Church, Sereta is dedicated to guiding individuals on a journey of spiritual growth, blending her love of journaling with her lifelong commitment to biblical teaching.
A wife, mother of three, puzzle enthusiast, runner, and Sherlock Holmes fan, Sereta brings creativity and warmth to every aspect of her life and ministry. She is the author of four impactful books—Scripture Memorization Journal, Becoming One with Christ, Greater Is He That Is in You, and The Through Journal—each crafted to help readers grow closer to God’s Word and experience its life-changing truths.
Sereta holds a Master of Divinity from Knox Theological Seminary, as well as two Bachelor’s degrees in Humanities and Information Technology, and a Master of Education. Her academic background supports her practical ministry, enabling her to lead numerous journaling workshops and empower others through faith-based personal development.
From an early age, Sereta felt a strong calling to teach and encourage others in their Christian journey. Her writing, workshops, and ministry reflect her conviction that reading the Bible nourishes the soul, studying it strengthens faith, and sharing it equips others for growth. Through her books and teaching, Sereta Collington inspires readers to live boldly, confidently, and purposefully—always rooted in the unchanging truths of God’s Word.
